Record the Recent Updates to the Leximory Service
Introducing: The Leximory Times

As the functionalities of Leximory grow increasingly sophisticated, The Leximory Times, an experimental AI-driven publication, finally tackles the unaddressed issue of the scarcity of reading materials accessible to Chinese students.
Serving as a daily dose of English exposure, it comprises Daily Novel, Daily News (audio included) and Daily Quiz. A rotating list of genres and topics is in place to ensure it covers a broad spectrum of content so that it has maximal appeal to students of different interests and educational value in its variety of vocabulary. The daily quiz every day is a random selection between vocabulary, cloze and reading comprehension, based on the news three days ago. Options can be interactively presented and chosen when the blank is clicked upon, which means no more flipping between pages.
The Leximory Times is published at 7:30 p.m. every evening at read.leximory.com
A Full Infra Rewrite

At Leximory, I believe software innovation must go hand in hand with durability. After a full rewrite of the data access layer and the authorisation layer from the ground up, the core architecture of Leximory now runs entirely on open-source database and user management systems.
Migrating off proprietary solutions gives Leximory greater flexibility by eliminating the possibility of being subjected to unexpected service changes and arbitrary pricing due to vendor lock-in, ultimately extending its life as independent software.
